This summer has been a complete washout! Say... 5 days of rain, 1 day of sun (if we're lucky) and a gloomy cloudy day makes up a typical week these days. Thank my lucky stars I don't live up North - floods everywhere, no water or electricity - I guess I shouldn't really be the one complaining X_x

On a lighter note, I went to the JapanEx expo in London on Saturday (21st) - my sisters and I dressed up as characters from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Regardez les photos:

Well, I went for an interview for a web designer job yesterday, and I got it! I can't believe it, I am so happy! Since graduating from college last July, I have been doing some webdesign and graphic design freelance work while learning learning and learning like crazy about HTML, CSS, web standards, a bit of PHP, and search engine optimisation. Just after I had graduated, I was going to go for some magazine design jobs and things along those lines, but my heart was really set on doing website design, so I thought I would learn as much as I could and build up a decent portfolio, so that's what I have been doing these past months. Besides, magazine design pays a lot less... hehe.

So anyway, I was offered the job straight away! I start on Monday the 4th of June. I have been jumping up and down since yesterday

I have also been creating some vector illustrations for iStockPhoto.com. You can check out my contributions which can be purchased as fully editable vector files here.

Remember I was asking about US coins? Yes, I made those for iStock. Thankyou to everyone who helped me out with that, I appreciate it a lot! I just hope I got the coins the right sizes and such... they're here if you want to take a peek. I made two dollar coins in the end, a 'Sacajawea' coin and a silver dollar. I made some British coins too, they're here.

I also made an alternate dA account, to put my vector/commercial illustrations, and perhaps some graphic design stuff later on.

So, I haven't been sitting on my lazy arse, I've been doing stuff! Hehe

Hey peoples!

Have you noticed my new wonderful journal? I'm quite excited about it. In fact, I bought a subscription yesterday *just* so I could design the journal. Is that a bit silly? Plus, I can see the large thumbnails in my devwatch, so it just might kick my arse into commenting on people's works, because I've been a bit lazy with that recently. Naughty me .

I'm completely free right now, so I am available for commissions and freelance work for anything - digital illustrations, pencil drawings, website design and graphic design. Take a look at my website for examples of my work, my CV and contact details. Or, just contact me from here, I don't mind. I will charge about £8/hr for web work (roughly $15, as I have just finished college and feel I'm not professional enough to be greedy yet heheh), and drawings etc. would be priced on size/complexity.

If anyone wants a business card, I have a stack, so email/note me if you want a couple and I'll post them to you. I actually sound quite organised - woah!

I just graduated about three weeks ago, by the way! Have been having a rest for a bit, went home to see my family for two weeks (they drove me a little crazy) and now I am back in Bournemouth, staying with the boy and looking for some work. I just applied for a job as an assistant magazine designer - exciting and scary! Just got to go and make my portfolio better and make my personal website now
